WDMC History...

 

Winsford Trials Club formed 19th September 1945 by Jack Buckley.

 

The club has ran various events in its history including road races, grass track, scramble, reliability trials and motorcycle trial with the clubs first event being a reliability trial on the afternoon of the 11th November 1945 at Whitegate.

 

The club went on to have its largest entry in January 1965 at The Shrewsbury arms, Little Budworth. A record entry of 160 riders

took part.

 

The Benoy Shield was won by B.S.A Work’s rider Scott Avory of the Manchester 17 club on 7 marks lost. In the side car class Peter wraith won on his 490 Ariel with 31 marks lost and the best Winsford club member was I Wilson 500 Ariel who dropped 29 marks and won the E.V.Whitby tankard.
